Friday 24 April 2020


Two days ago we went to get some wood. Dads job is to chop the wood with the chainsaw, and sometimes he runs out of fuel so uses a handsaw. Mums job is to throw the rings on the truck and my job is to stack the wood while the other kids are playing Trucker joe and Cooper sometime plays in the truck and with gearbox.

    I bet you do an awesome job of stacking the wood. My job is to throw it onto the truck, and when we get home I have to help stack it too....I bet you are getting a nice wee pile of pocket money.

      That makes it so much easier that you like the job of getting wood. Both my boys cut wood. They have to put it through the log splitter and stack it up.

    You have been very busy Connor. Sounds like a family effort. Who has the job of splitting the wood when you take it home? who gets to stack it? I like stacking firewood. I think I like it when it all looks neat and tidy. What other things have you been doing to help out?

      Hi Naomi, Dad splits it, and mum stacks it and she stacks it really tidy as well. I helped make tea the other night. Connor

    Gosh you will be getting big muscles moving all that wood. What a fantastic help you are to Mum and Dad. Isn't it nice to get outside in the sunshine and help your family? I have been helping my family paint our deck, but we ran out of paint, so we will have to wait to finish it until we can get some more.
